'She seems more focused on mundane little things': Longtime Service Industry Employee Likes New Boss, But Not Her Management Style, Asks for Advice on How to Tell Her

It's rare these days to get a manager that you actually like. Usually, boomers are in the upper management and they think the world revolves around them and/or around a toxic management style. The whole "eat or be eaten" mentality that spirals many managers into treating their employees like crap—especially in the service industry! Why does that industry attract a certain type of toxic management style, who knows?!

On longtime service industry employee recently got a new manager and they love her! She has been nothing but super nice to everyone and you can tell she is trying her hardest. However, as an employee who has been there a long time, they can tell that she isn't really making a difference—and is, in fact, kind of making the hard more difficult. She is removing processes that helped the employees during their shifts and she is implementing other processes that just add more work for the employees and not much else.

The employee likes her, so they don't know how to approach the situation. They turn to Reddit for help asking what they should do. Should they just wait it out and see if she figures it out on her own or is this something that needs to be dealt with head on?
